Conquering Robots.
Children, Not Robots, Are Our Future.
The video above shows my son’s middle school robotics team winning second place in the annual GAPPS Robotics Competition. I’m so proud of him!
At Alleluia Community School, we believe in giving our students every opportunity to discover their strengths and build real-world skills. Our robotics program is a hands-on, team-based experience where students from middle and high school learn engineering, programming, and problem-solving by building and competing with VEX robots.
I’m helping raise funds for new robotics kits, competition boards, and laptops—tools that will let more students join the team, work together, and take on new challenges. These aren’t just classroom projects; they’re stepping stones to real careers. One of our graduates, Philip Hatfield, went through the program and is now an electrician. Another, James Dooley, says, “Robots prepared me for my major in cybersecurity by providing me with extensive knowledge in computer programs and hardware.”
Our robotics club is a place where kids can build, compete, and discover talents they never knew they had. Many of our students wouldn’t get this kind of hands-on STEM experience anywhere else. We’ve seen firsthand how these opportunities open doors and inspire confidence.
Thanks to a $10,000 gift from a generous supporter, we’re almost at our goal of $12,000 for the new equipment. If you’re able to, please help us get it over the top. Any donations above our $12,000 will be invested in more robotics kits so more kids can participate.
The Alleluia Robotics Club helps students learn programming and technology in a fun, energetic, and competitive environment. Please help us get the equipment and tools we need to keep it going today!
P. S. I know this Substack is not a fundraising channel, but I’m willing to ask on my son’s behalf to support his robotics team. What good is being a professional beggar if I won’t do it for my children?
